Atlanta’s Guru of Abs partners with Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia for 2021 Race/Walk reimagined
Join the Guru of Abs™, nationally acclaimed body sculptor DaShaun Johnson, for a 60-minute workout class on September 11th while still benefiting a great cause. You can make a pledge, donate, or register to join us as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary with a 50 for 50 Challenge, all from the comfort of your home. The virtual event starts at 9 A.M.
Due to the continued public health threat posed by COVID-19 and the widely spreading delta variant, the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. (SCFG), is announcing a new event to keep you safe, healthy and fit.
“After evaluating the present state of the pandemic, it is my recommendation that we suspend all in-person activities for the rest of 2021,” said Dr. Otis Powell, SCFG Chief Medical Officer. “Our objective is to not put anyone at risk. I ask that we all make every effort to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and its variants.”
The reimaged event will support SCFGs signature program, Camp New Hope and traditional services such as sickle cell testing, education and counseling. SCFG services also include telemedicine; primary and specialty provider services; non-specialty sickle cell provider education; and transition assistance for young adult SCD patients and more.
