HBCU Power, Morehouse School of Medicine screen ‘Nine Days’ in Atlanta
Over the weekend, HBCU Power president and Datari Turner Productions VP Jash’d Kambui, in partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine, hosted a private screening of the film Nine Days, the critically-acclaimed drama starring Winston Duke (Black Panther, Us), Zazie Beetz (“Atlanta,” Joker) and David Rysdahl. The event took place at AMC Phipps in Buckhead and included a post-screening conversation on mental health moderated by Morehouse film professor Dr. Stephane Dunn and featuring Nine Days stars Beetz and Rysdahl, and Morehouse School of Medicine’s Dr. Shawn Garrison.
A Sundance Film Festival selection written and directed by Edson Oda, Nine Days tells the story of a man who interviews five unborn souls to determine which one can be given life on Earth. The film is now playing in theaters.
Special thanks to screening sponsors HBCU Power, Morehouse School of Medicine, Zion’s Dream, the Atlanta Film Festival, The Hekima Group and Spectrum Health.
