For National Mai Tai Day, Atlanta restaurant TWO Urban Licks is sharing the special recipe to its Mai Tai Slushy.

TWO urban Licks’ Mai Tai Slushy Recipe Ingredients

2 Parts Light Rum

2 Parts Dark Rum

½ Part Overproof Rum

1 Part Fresh Lime Juice

1 Part Orange Curacao

1 Part Orgeat

1.5 Part Water


  • Using a refractometer, adjust Brix (measurement of sugar in an aqueous solution) to 14 degrees.
  • Add water to lower Brix, grenadine or simple syrup if higher Brix needed.
  • When desired sugar content is achieved, add ingredients and set machine to freeze.
  • Garnish with pineapple spear, lime wedge, umbrella or anything fun. 
  • Serve and enjoy!
